I am an Associate Professor and the Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Political Science at Texas Tech University. I received my Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 2003 in International Relations and Quantitative Methodology. After graduation, I spent the 2003-2004 academic year in Oslo at the International Peace Research Institute and began work at the University of New Orleans in the fall of 2004. In the fall of 2007, I moved to Texas Tech University. In 2014 I taught and did research at the Institute of International Relations and Political Science at the historic University of Vilnius as part of the Fulbright Scholar program.
My research interests have mostly been focused on the use of economic sanctions. I have recent projects on sanctions and financial markets and sanctions and military conflict.
Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or would like additional information.
